Vinod Balan, FCA, is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with over 12 years of experience in key managerial positions with renowned organizations in the Middle East. He began his career with Varma & Varma Chartered Accountants, a leading audit firm in South India and then moved on to one of the largest retail organizations in the Middle East, the Landmark Group. He holds the GCC VAT Compliance Diploma, a pre-requisite for VAT registered agents in the UAE. He is well-versed with the UAE VAT law, an expert in refund claims and handling VAT compliances and has been actively involved in the implementation of VAT at several organizations. His areas of proficiency include statutory and internal audit of organizations in the trade/manufacturing, refinery and power sector, mutual funds, banks etc.
