The Electricity Tariff Incentive Program (ETIP) was launched in 2019 in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) and regulated by the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED). By offering reduced electricity tariffs to organizations with an active industrial license in Abu Dhabi, ETIP aims to augment investments and developments in Abu Dhabi’s Industrial sector by providing a regulated competitive environment, thereby ensuring elevated productivity and a way to cope with the growing energy cost.

Reliant on the results of this criteria-based audit, the entity will be awarded ETIP scores. Scores are split into three categories which will determine the eligibility of the discounted tariff rates:
(C) with a score of ≥50 and <60
(B) with a score of ≥60 and <80
(A) with score of ≥ 80
Entities will appreciate the advantage of lower electricity tariffs (a vital input), which would further result in lower operational costs and enhanced financial outcomes.
